I am Beauty Revived, Are You?

* 2 min. read

Beauty Revived would like to expand their BR community so I thought I’d let all my big hearted photography friends know that they are opening applications for their latest campaign Beautiful Mothers.

If you’re not familiar with Beauty Revived or know about their mission, let me give you a quick recap.

Beauty Revived is a movement that celebrates people with real beauty. They are an online and print publication dedicated to telling the stories of real people with real beauty.  In a world where the media celebrates only those with perfect skin, weight and hair, Beauty Revived is a movement that focuses on true and inner beauty.

Photographers from all over the world donate photography sessions to individuals who exemplify this real beauty.  These sessions are featured on the Beauty Revived blog and magazine. I’ve been so blessed to be apart of the family for several years now, and encourage you to do so as well.

I love everything that they stand for. Founder, Michelle Gifford and Vice President & Campaign Director, Katrina Boone are a force for good along with all the wonderfully kind-hearted and talented photographers who volunteer their time to spread joy.

I love being a part of the Beauty Revived family because it makes me feel like I’m doing my little bit of good in this life. I can’t change the world by myself, but together we make a huge impact in the lives of so many – showing them that their beauty is REAL BEAUTY all while sharing their incredibly touching stories to help inspire others.

P.S. On application be sure to mention that Eboni Rivera referred you in the space provided and that should help you breeze right through! 😉

I’m a hugger (shaking hands feels too formal). I began learning photography back in 1996, mixing chemicals and developing film in a darkroom. I've spent the past 20+ years observing and learning about different genres but Documentary Family Photography is where I feel the most at home. The best photographs are ones with a real story behind it – the kind that immediately brings you back to that specific time and place, no matter how long ago it happened. I'm a Memory Preservationist. For me, it’s all about reminiscing and feeling nostalgia when you look at photos that make them so incredibly special.
